Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Second Season Predictions — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on the streaming platform soon, and fan speculation has been rampant.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The community's expectations for the new season vary widely, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I feel like me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season progresses, and how many of what they're anticipating unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some incredible disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done some of them, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
